ZEGAL PROJECT INEDITA
The design of ZEGAL high speed boat is focused on the optimization of hydrogen consumption and passengers comfort.

imar Lab aims to improve the transfer experience between Galapagos’ Islands by designing a high speed boat that mitigates dizziness and the excessive smell of fuel experienced by those who use the boats. Obtaining a positive impact in the tourist field as well as in the routine of the inhabitants of the islands. The objective of the vessel is not to emit CO2 using the technology available on the market, to reduce the vertical movements that cause dizziness, preventing these vessels from harming the turtles that use the same route.
The financial resources of Inédita will be destined for the contracting of the researchers of the work team, acquisition of computer equipment and licenses necessary for the computational analysis. In addition to sponsoring technical visits to Galapagos where sea tests will be carried out periodically, in order to obtain seakeeping data. The results obtained related to the advancement of the design will be presented at international conferences, with the purpose of exchanging ideas and receiving suggestions from other researchers external to the project.
